Procedure for Issue of Batch Manufacturing Record

1.0 OBJECTIVE
To lay down a procedure for issue of Batch Manufacturing Record to production.
2.0 SCOPE
This SOP is applicable to Formulations unit.
3.0 RESPONSIBILITY
Executive - Planning.
4.0 ACCOUNTABILITY
Manager - Production Planning Inventory Control.
5.0 PROCEDURE
5.1. Based on day wise production schedule for month, Manufacturing work order & Batch manufacturing record is to be issued 72 hrs in advance.
5.2 Enter the details in the Batch Number control register before issue of the Batch manufacturing record .
5.3. Take one Print out of the Batch manufacturing record with Batch No. details .
5.4 The Batch manufacturing record to be duly signed and issued by Planning Executive .
5.5 Handover the authorized Batch manufacturing record to Officer /Executive - Production and take his signature in the Batch Number control register.
5.6. In case of cancellation of Batch manufacturing record after issue to production, It is to be returned to the planning and to be recorded in the batch number control register.
5.7. In exigencies, if a work order is to be re-issued, it is to be recommended by Quality assurance department and authorized by Manager - Production Planning and Inventory Control.
