Procedure for Operation of Ultra Filtration System

1.0 OBJECTIVE
To lay down a procedure for operation of Ultra Filtration System.

This SOP is applicable to Formulations Unit.

5.1.0 Precautions

5.3.0 Operation
5.1.0 PRECAUTIONS
5.1.1 Before start up check the availability of air supply and DM water.
5.2.0 PRE STARTUP
5.2.1 Place the sanitize/normal selector switch to ‘NORMAL’ position.
5.2.2 Ensure that ‘SANITIZE UF’ selector switch is off .
5.3.0 OPERATION
5.3.1 Close V29 and open fully V28.
5.3.2 Close V14 and open fully V15 and V16.
5.3.3 Open V18 and V19 and close V20, V21, V17 and V22 for UV1 in line.
5.3.4 Ensure V52 and V17 are closed.
5.3.5 Start P1 by pressing ‘P1 START’ push button.
5.3.6 Initially SV1 will be opened fully for a presented time (0-5 minutes) after which it closes. After this open V27 to allow a flow of 10% of permeate to go to drain through V28.
