5.1.0 PRECAUTIONS
5.1.1 Ensure that selector switch of ‘SANITIZE LOOP’ is in ‘OFF’ position or else sanitization will not start.
5.2.0 PRE STARTUP
5.2.1 Place the selector switch to ‘SANITIZE’ position in control panel.
5.2.2 Place the selector switch of ‘SANITIZE UF’ in ‘ON’ position.
5.2.3 Ensure DM water availability.
5.2.4 Also ensure the air supply for control valves.
5.3.0 OPERATION
5.3.1 Close the valves V27, V30, V24 & open valves V29, V31, V52, V51, V50.
5.3.2 Ensure the valves V49 and V53 are closed.
5.3.3 By Pass UV1: To By pass UV1close valves V 18 & V 19 and open V20 & V 21.
5.3.4 Open valve V29 fully.
5.3.5 Ensure the valves V15 and V16 is open.
5.3.6 Open valves V63, V66 and close V65 & check steam pressure which should be 3 kg/sq.cm. in PI9.
5.3.7 Start pump PI by pressing push button ‘PI START’.
5.3.8 Press ‘SANITIZATION START’ push button.
5.3.9 The UF sanitization has started.
5.3.10 WORKING CYCLE
On pressing ‘PUMP START’ and ‘SANITIZATION START’ push button theTCV1, open which lets the steam in P.H.E. TT1 is set for TSLC1 and TSHC1 at 77°c and 80°c. As soon as the temperature of water reaches 85°c TCV1 closes and a timer is triggered which is set for 30 minutes. During this time if the temperature falls below 77°c TCV1 opens and reaches 80°c & closes. Thus maintaining 77°c -80°c for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes is over pump will stop and lamp of ‘SANITIZATION START’ goes ‘OFF’ and pump will trip.
5.4.0 SHUT DOWN
5.4.1 After sanitization period is over close valves V29, V31, V50, V51, V52 and open V14 and V22 to allow the water in system to drain out.
5.4.2 After complete draining of water close V14 and open V22 and V9.
5.4.3 Take UV on line by opening valves V18 & V19 and closing V20 & V21.
5.4.4 Now the system is ready for normal mode of operation
Note: Users should Suitably change their SOP as per the DQ of the Ultra Filtration System for Naming the valves
