5.0 PURPOSE
To describe the safety inspection procedure.
6.0 SCOPE
This procedure lays out safety inspection procedure to:
6.1 To assess the strengths and weaknesses in the plant's safety system by the identification of unsafe acts and conditions, and the notification of line supervision for appropriate, effective and prompt corrective actions.
6.2 To minimize employee and company loss by early detection of potential safety and health hazards.

9.0 PROCEDURE
9.1 Selected Safety Committee members and respective Head of the department or his designate, under the guidance of the EHS shall perform the safety inspections twice a year.
9.2 For ease of operation, plan is made to inspect few sections of the plant in a month .In this way inspect the entire plant twice in a year in rotation basis.
9.1 All departments will be informed at least 02 days prior to the date of the impending inspection.
9.2 During inspections notes taking and photograph taking will be used to document findings and in training.
9.3 During inspection, any dangerous condition or unsafe acts will immediately be pointed out and corrective action recommended to the respective supervisors. The dangerous condition or unsafe acts and its recommended corrective action will be documented. Incidents will be entered into the non-conformance log. Corrective and preventive actions will be assigned and practiced
9.4 Inspection reports will be distributed to the plant management, the respective section managers, and supervisors, within 07 days of the inspection. When necessary, a meeting will be held to clarify the inspection report. Inspection report will be discussed at the next facility management meeting.
1) The Inspections will be submitted to and controlled by the Document Center on their Central Internal Assessment tracking system. They will administer the documentation of the completed item form the inspection. Written memos on the completion of issues is required from each person assigned responsibility for correcting or investigation the issue.
2) While the inspection team may make recommendation for corrective actions, the responsibility for choosing and implementing such actions rests with the respective section managers and their supervisors.
3) The report should also indicate the number of unsafe acts or unsafe conditions recurrence in the inspection report.
