1.0 OBJECTIVE
To lay down a procedure for disposal of manufacturing waste in production block.

5.0 PROCEDURE
5.1. Enteric coated pellets destruction procedure (applicable to module-1).
5.1.1. Collect the 12# retains and 18# passings generated at sifting stage of enteric coated pellets in to black colour H.D.P.E. DRUM which is meant for collection of “TO BE DESTROYED MATERIALS”.
5.1.2 Record the weight in enteric coated rejects disposal register as per Annexure-I.
5.1.3. Transfer the above container to the area (air lock) specified as “TO BE DESTROYED MATERIALS ”.
5.1.4 Inform to house keeping supervisor for transferring it E.T.P. where it will be finally destroyed by mixing of 0.1 N sodium carbonate solution in 1:1 ratio.
5.2 Tablets /Capsules (applicable to module-1,2,3,4,5 & packing halls).
5.2.1 Take 10 lts of water in to 50 lts capacity H.D.P.E. container (black colour) and label it as “TO BE DESTROYED MATERIAL”.
5.2.2 Collect all the rejected tablets / capsules (checked in process for friability, hardness, leak test & weight variation) and put into the above container.
5.2.3 Pour water of DT. Apparatus containing , granules of tablets after DT Testing in to the above container.
5.2.4 At the end of every working day drain the suspension from the above container in to drainage point in the washing area and clean the container by using jet of potable water from inside and outside keep it ready for next day use.
